Mater Dei Marching Wildcats
The Mater Dei Marching Wildcats compete in the ISSMA Class D marching events. Marching band is an extra-curricular activity comprised of students grades 7th through 12th.
The Marching Wildcats have a rich history of success. The 2022-2023 season ended with the Mater Dei band winning the State Championship for the first time in Mater Dei history. This was their 14th ISSMA State Finals appearance, with twelve years consecutively.
The Marching Wildcats have multiple performance opportunities both locally and nationally. The Marching Wildcats compete at local marching band invitationals throughout September, October, and November.
The Marching Wildcats also perform at the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival parade and the Evansville Christmas parade.
The Marching Wildcats have had the opportunity to perform at Walt Disney World in Florida. They performed at Magic Kingdom during spring break in March of 2018 and at ICON park in Orlando in 2022.
